The Portland Peace Team is part of the Shanti Sena Network of peace teams across the US and Canada. The Shanti Sena Network was founded in 2011 and the Portland Peace Team began then as well.
We provide nonviolent security to movement events when we are invited. We also provide nonviolence trainings.We are happy to talk to your organization about what we offer.
Those of you who are involved in this sort of unarmed security in any way are welcome to send me your announcements or germane posts. Send to pcwtom@gmail.com and if appropriate, I will post it here.

The Portland Peace Team meets to conduct business and train on the first Sunday of every month. We started meeting at Whitefeather Peace House, then moved to First Unitarian, and now we meet at Portland State University. You are most welcome to join us, first Sundays from 5-7 p.m.
We charge nothing for our services. We pay ourselves just as much! We are always looking for more members, so please come to our monthly meetings to see if we are a good fit for you.
